Protect Your Work: Legal Issues for Creatives

  • Firehouse Art Center 667 4th Avenue Longmont, CO, 80501 United States (map)

The Firehouse Art Center is pleased to present the 2nd Artist Development Series workshop in partnership with CBCA's program "Colorado Attorneys for the Arts".

Colorado Attorneys for the Arts (CAFTA) will present an engaging workshop on how to protect your artistic work and navigate other common legal issues for creative professionals. This session will focus on important topics, such as copyrights and fair use. The session will be led by David Rein, an intellectual property attorney with Erickson Kernell. You’ll also have an opportunity to learn more about CAFTA. A program of the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, CAFTA is a legal referral service that connects limited income artists and creative entities with volunteer attorneys.

The Speaker: David Rein is an attorney with Erickson Kernell. Dave provides creative solutions for mid-size and startup companies to acquire, maintain, monetize and protect their copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and patents with a focus on manufacturing technology, emerging technologies, architecture, visual arts, food processing, and the energy industry.
