Supernova's all day education forum, held at the Commons on Champa, is a ticketed event that is limited to the first 150 registrants, with select scholarships dedicated to students and sponsors throughout the community. The schedule for the day is as follows:

SUPERNOVA JUROR #1: MOREHSHIN ALLAHYARI
Morehshin Allahyari is a new media artist, activist, educator, and occasional curator. She was born and raised in Iran and moved to the United States in 2007. Her work extensively deals with the political, social, and cultural contradictions we face every day. She thinks about technology as a philosophical toolset to reflect on objects; a poetic mean to document the personal and collective lives we live and our struggles as humans in the 21st century. Morehshin has been part of numerous exhibitions, festivals, and workshops around the world including Museum of Contemporary Art in Montreal, Pori Museum, Dallas Museum of Art, Museo Ex-Teresa Arte Actual, Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston, Museum für Angewandte Kunst, Miami Art fair, and Material Art fair. She has been an artist in residence at CMU STUDIO for Creative Inquiry (2015), Autodesk Pier9 Workshop in San Francisco (2015), and BANFF Centre (2013), among others and directly following Supernova festival she will commence a one-year residency at Eyebeam in New York City. Her work has been featured in the NYTimes, Huffington Post, Wired, NPR, VICE, Parkett Art Magazine, Rhizome, Hyperallergic, Dazed Digital, Neural Magazine, Global Voices Online, and Al Jazeera among others. Morehshin is the Co-Founder of the Experimental Research Lab at Pier9/Autodesk. Allahyari was a graduate scholar at the University of Denver in the EmergentDigital Practices department, this marks her first return to Denver since graduating and literally becoming a world-wide sensation.
SUPERNOVA JUROR #2: CLAUDIA MATÉ
Spanish born digital designer Claudia Maté is currently based in London, UK, where she produces from a large arena of new media and online based content. Her works come from a variety of formats including programming, 3D, video, videogames, VR, GIF and sound. She is Co-founder and curator at cloaque.org. Mate’s works has been exhibited internationally in NYC, Madrid, Paris, Canada, Croatia, Italy, Berlin, Chile, Buenos Aires, Switzerland, Venezuela, Lima, Miami, Iran, Peru, Lithuania, London and online. Maté was featured in Denver Digerati’s “Friday Flash No.1- - Digital Animation NOW!” program in 2015.
